Getting started with Javascript

Javascript is a scripting language that make web pages interactive and dynamic. It helps in creating a user friendly experience and make the webpage interact with users. To start learning Javascript, You have to be open minded and determined to know it. Get a note and pen to document your learning and be accountable. There are websites you can learn for free and trust me, They help in becoming a Javascript Hero.

freecodecamp not only help you take baby steps, it impact you with deep understanding of the language.

Learning the Alphabet is important for a child because it's the foundation they build on

freecodecamp explains javascript concept from beginner level to expert but they do it in a very simple way you understand quickly. It's just like learning the Alphabet as an adult. They have this way of simplifying Javascript and I will advice you to start from there. There are challenges available for you to solve on the site and please do it. Document and solve challenges on every topic you read. Solving challenges makes you better with the topic, it introduce yourself to you and help you build capacity.

javascript.info is the complete package for Javascript from part 1 to part 3. They give you the whole concept of Javascript and you become wild in thinking. They widen your experience. You might have difficulties in understanding some concept taught on this site but you just have to be open minded, think deeply about it (Say to your self that if I don't know this, I'm not going anywhere). Sometimes, I spend 3 days trying to understand a topic, I don't move on until I get it right because it's a building block and I might need it in building a website later.

Knowing different concept and having experience help you see that there are different ways you can code and solve challenges. Grow in your pace, don't leave out basic and fundamental topics because you are so hungry to be a Developer.

Grow and enjoy the process because when Challenges come your way as you get to a particular stage in the field, those challenges question everything you have learnt before getting to that stage.

I have my Javascript notebook and I always open it from time to time to use a concept I learnt months ago because I need it and I can't really remember the correct syntax.

Trust me, while moving up the ladder of Javascript, you will feel like running away from the language at some point but you can always stop to take a break, see a Korean movie ( I specifically ♥️ Korean movies, it relives me of stress and I just get to clear my head), take a walk, sleep then go back to where you stopped. I remember days I sleep off on a topic because I don't understand it. I wake up fresh with an open mind.

Focus is key! Write out your mission and vision! Determination is key!

As a beginner, you might not have senior developers around you yet, but as you move up the ladder, open your mind to opportunities, programs, new connections. You will meet people that are ready to mentor you on your journey.
